Rebecca Wing

Rebecca is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. For the past 18 years Rebecca has provided professional development seminars for teachers and in-school MBSR instruction to students in grades 5 through 12. Co-founding the Mindfulness Center of Southern Maine with her husband Terry Fralich in 2000, Rebecca sees private clients and holds group sessions at the center.

A student of Eastern philosophy, Rebecca has trained with prominent Buddhist and Western teachers. She was trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) with Jon Kabat-Zinn. Rebecca has been a daily meditator for 20 years and practices yoga. Her counseling and music rise directly from her spiritual practice.

A professional musician and composer, Rebecca has performed throughout New England as a solo artist and in jazz ensembles. She has been giving private instruction in piano and voice for more than 25 years. Her original music and approach to music instruction is designed for meditation and well-being. Terry Fralich

Terry is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor practicing in Southern Maine and an Adjunct Faculty Member of the University of Southern Maine Graduate School. In addition to his private practice, Terry provides counseling services to the City of Portland Maine and is a co-founder of the Mindfulness Center of Southern Maine where he has led many workshops on mindful living, meditation and personal spirituality. Prior to becoming a counselor, Terry practiced law in New York City, Los Angeles and Portland, Maine.

Terry has studied extensively with the Dalai Lama and other leading Tibetan meditation teachers and with some of the Western pioneers of mindfulness work, including Jon Kabat-Zinn, Jack Kornfield and John Welwood. He has pursued his own meditation and mindfulness practice for more than 30 years.

Terry has led hundreds of workshops all over the country in various aspects of mindfulness, the latest developments in neuroscience, meditation and the treatment of anxiety and depression. His book “Cultivating Lasting Happiness: A 7-Step Guide to Mindfulness” was published in 2007.
