Practice

Mindfulness practice is a non-denominational approach to enriching our lives. It is within the reach of everyone, without limitation by age, experience, circumstance or religious background. By bringing our attention to the present moment, undisturbed by past memories or anxieties about the future, we increase our awareness of our body, mind and emotions. We learn to pay attention, to become a gentle witness to our distracting thoughts and to access our inner wisdom. The Center’s programs draw on a variety of approaches to nurture mindfulness as a way of being, including relaxation exercises, meditation, visualization, sound, music, movement, inner processing and discussion.
